About the Event
A new group led by teachers with disabilities for teachers with disabilities.
Join us over Zoom on the third Tuesday of every month to discuss how our disabilities come through in the classroom—the joys as well as the challenges. This is a space to get and give support; build your teacher network; and grow together as educators.
Topics may include normalizing disability in the classroom, addressing ableism, self-regulation, self-care, and how to advocate for your needs.
This group is open to teaching artists, classroom teachers, and other educators who identify with a disability. LBGTQ+ individuals, BIPOC, and other educators of marginalized identities are welcome. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and other forms of bigotry will not be tolerated.
If you have questions or are interested in taking on a leadership role in the group, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!
