Jerome was born in Chicago and has been in Milwaukee for the past 32 years. His friends and family are here. This marks Jerome's debut as an actor and playwright. He couldn't be more pleased with the cast and crew. He'd like to thank his family for their support over the years. He hopes that you enjoy the show. Let's continue to make history!
Maria Cina
(Female Caller, Alana)
Maria is thrilled to be making her Pink Umbrella Theatre debut this season. Maria holds a photography degree from Madison Area Technical College and an acting certificate from The Gaiety School of Acting. Currently, she attends the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities for Theater Arts and Communications, taking her classes online and cuddling her cat Knives whilst doing so. She was most recently featured as Jane Bennett in Rotate Theater’s production of Let’s Eat Mary and is currently with Forward Theater Co. as Marnie’s understudy in their upcoming production of Lewiston/Clarkston. Previous projects include Antigone in Burial at Thebes (Madison College PA., Mike Lussenden), Seneca Howland in Men on Boats (Strollers Theatre Co., Sean Langenecker), and Kendra in The Gulf (Rankin Theater Guild, Corey Helser). Lu Rico
(Eddie)
Lu Rico is a motivated actor who fell in love with acting after attempting to appear on his daughter's favorite t.v. show as an extra. Since then he has been cast in featured roles in shows such as Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, The Chi and has his first major motion picture speaking role as a police officer (BLAME 2021) under his belt. Lu will also be filming a leading character role in a t.v. series called Casters where he will be Alpha Shadow Wolf Maximilianos.
Lu Rico has training in SWAT team tactics as well as hand to hand combat, weapons training, as well as stunts. His goal is to be cast as an action hero lead in a major motion picture.
Adam Qutaishat (Darrell)
Adam Qutaishat is a multiracial actor, director, designer, teacher, writer, composer, and advocate working throughout the Midwest. Area highlights include work with Next Act Theatre, Skylight Music Theatre, Milwaukee Opera Theatre, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Renaissance Theaterworks, Playwrights' Center, National Theatre for Children, and Music Theatre of Madison. Adam also writes, produces, and directs radio play podcast The All-Arcadians and serves as Associate Artistic Director for Music Theatre of Madison and as an Artistic Associate for All In Productions. adamqutaishat.com
Layna Martinez
(Lisa)
Layna Martinez is a former Milwaukee native and an alumni of the UWM Theater program currently residing in Boston. She has performed across the country in Chicago, Boulder and Los Angeles and some of her favorite productions included Gruesome Playground Injuries, Dead Man’s Cell Phone, Betrayal, and Marisol. She is thrilled to working in her first Pink Umbrella Production!

IBRAHEEM FARMER is honored to make his Pink Umbrella debut! Atlanta credits: The Welcome Table (Theatrical Outfit), Sit In (Alliance Theatre), The Brothers Size (Actor’s Express Theatre), GHOST (Alliance Theatre). Brandi Reed
(Sharon)
Brandi Reed is a proud Milwaukee native. With the help of many community arts organizations such as, the African American Children’s theater and the Milwaukee Inner-city Arts Council Brandi was introduced to musical theater. Brandi was a part of Black Arts MKE’s 2018 & 2019 productions of Black Nativity at the Marcus Performing Arts Center. In addition, she was also in the show, Three Sister’s Named Flo at Skylight’s Cabaret Theater. Brandi is currently a Teaching Artist at Black Arts MKE, First Stage Children’s Theatre and the Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
Robert Torres
(Michael)
Robert received his bachelor of arts in theater from Uva-Wise. After college he moved to Milwaukee Wisconsin to participate in a fellowship at First Stage. He has performed with Khol's Wild Theater, Voices Found Repertory and Summerstage. Robert would like to thank Katie Cummings and Jerome Robinson for the opportunity to work with another great Milwaukee theater company and his family for their continued support.
Marvin Hannah (Anthony Sr)
Marvin began performing with dynamic Washington, D.C.-based gospel group, PL&MoM, as a long-time resident of the district. The Fords, Warner, and Lincoln theaters; The National Cathedral, The Lincoln Memorial, and Kennedy Center; Springsteen, Beyoncé, Garth, and Mariah are but a few celebs, with whom he's shared these stages. His debut theatre performance as ‘Messenger’, in ‘Gospel At Colonus’, was well-received, at Skylight Theater. His live/virtual musical, televised, and film endeavors, include works with PBS Milwaukee, FX’s Fargo, Joe Para, Shakespeare in the Park, and numerous readings and recordings. He enjoys collaborating and identifying artists of tomorrow.
Deshawn Thomas

Deshawn Thomas is delighted to be making his debut with Pink Umbrella Theatre Company. He has recently graduated from Ripon College with a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre. Some credits include Henry Albertson in The Fantasticks, Orgon in Tartuffe, and Dr. Thomas Stockman in Paragon Springs; all at his alma mater, Ripon College.
Ericka Wade
(Sasha)
Ericka was recently seen in Next Act Theater's virtual production of PRINCIPAL PRINCIPLE. She has performed with many Milwaukee companies such as First Stage Theater, Skylight Music Theater, Boulevard Theatre, Windfall Theatre and Renaissance Theaterworks. Favorite performed shows include: THE BALLAD OF EMMETT TILL, THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHTTIME, SAY GOODNIGHT GRACIE and THE WIZ. She is honored to be in the cast of JEROME and is excited for you to hear this touching and funny piece!
Ekene Ikegwuani (Stage Manager Episodes 1-3)
Ekene Ikegwuani has been acting since they were 8 years old, and continues to find a lot of joy in the craft. They hope to use acting, writing, and music to tell stories that increase representation for marginalized communities and give people a place to see themselves in the world.
Dennis Lewis
(Stage Manager Episodes 4-6)
Dennis is a Milwaukee based actor and is thrilled to be a part of something so close to the television series' that he grew up on. He hopes that those at home are able to find peace from the endearing ability of sitcom style productions to ground us with characters and situations that lay close to many of our hearts. When not working on a project Dennis spends much of his time reading or working for the Milwaukee Fire Dept.
